Performance rules:
Community Service:
Each student that performs will receive 5 hours of community service. Certificates will be provided at the recital. Piano accompanists for string and wind performances will not be listed on the program, but should still be mentioned in the registration form under "Special concerns/needs" in order to receive a certificate.
Performer information:
In the Atria library, a large Yamaha grand piano is provided. Other musical equipment including instruments and stands (only if necessary) should be brought by the performer.
We welcome music students of all ages and levels to perform! Although many MSSL performers play classical music on piano or string instruments, we invite all music students to perform different types of pieces for the senior residents. Whether it be vocals, winds, pop music, jazz, or any kind of music, our main purpose is to provide live music for the seniors, so diversity in instruments and pieces is welcomed!
